Volunteers
Raising Hope South Africa depends on volunteers to assist us in making our dreams into realities. We have various opportunities available for volunteers including:
Assistance within administrative roles
Website and online presence support and development
Community workers
Help with fundraising events or in outreach days
Professionals wanting to support our parents and families
Junior Committee
Our Junior Committee is our way of keeping the voices, ideas and views of young people active in our organisation. The committee is currently chaired by founder Ashlyn, and includes 14 youngsters of different ages. These youngsters drive their own fundraising and awareness campaigns, while also being active in the other programmes and initiatives of Raising Hope SA. Through the Junior committee we strive to support these young people to grow as active Leaders and servers in their community. This is done through active volunteerism in our projects, and through giving them the opportunity to be part of our senior sub-committees that run so many aspects of raising Hope SA from behind the scenes. Several of our Junior Committee members are also impacted by disabilities such as Down syndrome, autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and mental health challenges.
